Bigpipe Setup Guide for TP-LINK AC1900 Wireless Dual Band Gigabit Router Archer C9 (UFB)

UFB internet connection setup

You’ll need this stuff, which should be packaged with the router:

Figure 1. The router’s backside

Figure 2. LAN cable (also called Ethernet cable)

Figure 3. The underside of the ONT  (Chorus will install this)

Please follow these instructions to set up your TP-Link AC1900 Wireless Dual Band Gigabit Router Archer C9 for Bigpipe’s UFB plan.

– Attach the router’s aerials, plug it in, and power it on. Plug one end of an Ethernet cable (see figure 2) into the blue port (see figure 1) and the other end into the first port (GE1) of the ONT (see figure 3). Then connect an ethernet cable from the yellow LAN1 port of the router (see figure 1) into your computer’s LAN port.

Important: If your computer does not have a LAN port, connect to the TP-Link WiFi network and use the Wireless Password/PIN which is printed on the back of the router.

-Please open a web browser e.g Chrome, Firefox or Safari.  Once you have, type 192.168.0.1 into the address bar and press enter.

-When the below box pops up just enter admin/admin for the username/password and click login

– Then select Network and then WAN from the left menu

-Under PPPoE Connection please enter your own User Name and Password – you can see I’ve used Bigpipe. You can use any username or password you like (just don’t use any spaces or special characters.)

-Click Save at the bottomm and once the page has reloaded, click on Advanced

-Please change your settings to match the below ones exactly and then click Save

-Great – now you should be able to connect to the internet 🙂 To set up your Wireless name and password, keep reading. (It’s not required but we recommend it to secure your network).

Setting up your WiFi connection

-Click on Wireless 2.4 GHz and then Wireless Settings from the left

-Click Save.

Important: If you connected to the router using WiFi, you will have been disconnected. Don’t worry – just connect to the network you have just set up. (Please use the original password if you have been connecting via wireless the whole time, otherwise please scroll up to see where you can find your wireless password)

Please note: You can also repeat the “Setting up your WiFi connection” steps under the “Wireless 5Ghz” menu to set up your Wireless 5Ghz network if you wish. Make sure you give it a different name to avoid confusion!

-Next, click on Wireless Security from the left. Next to “Wireless Password” you’ll see a box with your current password in it. You can change this to whatever you like.

-Leave the other settings at their defaults, and click on Save.

Important: If you connected to the router using WiFi, you will have been disconnected. Don’t worry – just connect to the network you have just set up and input your new password.

Great, your network is now secure! Happy internetting 🙂
